From Bare Trusses to Full Wet-System Coverage — in 11 Days.
A 180,000 sq ft distribution center in Columbus, OH was operating with zero overhead protection. A routine insurance audit flagged the gap. The facility manager had 30 days to comply or face policy cancellation.
The Challenge
Unobstructed 36-ft ceilings with no existing sprinkler infrastructure. Active receiving dock operations couldn't be paused.
The Solution
We phased installation by bay, threading 2.5" mains along existing steel purlins and installing ESFR pendant heads without halting inbound freight operations.

Six Temperature Zones. One Seamless Wet-System Install.
A 94,000 sq ft cold-storage and blast-freeze facility in Fresno, CA needed a complete NFPA 13 upgrade after expanding from two zones to six. Their insurer quoted a 210% premium increase for the unprotected addition.
The Challenge
Sub-zero environments (-10°F blast-freeze cells) require dry-pipe sections in the coldest zones while maintaining wet-system coverage in cooler areas — all on a single riser.
The Solution
FireGuard designed a hybrid wet/dry configuration with zone-control valves, dedicated dry-pipe accelerators for freeze cells, and color-coded inspection tags per zone. 14-day install, zero product loss.

A 1924 Mill. Three Fire Marshals. One Clean Inspection.
A 112,000 sq ft textile manufacturing plant in Lowell, MA — built in 1924 — had accumulated three consecutive failed fire marshal inspections. The owner faced a 90-day closure notice.
The Challenge
Original timber-frame construction with irregular ceiling heights (9 ft to 28 ft), load-bearing masonry walls that couldn't be penetrated without structural permits, and active manufacturing lines.
The Solution
Custom hanger fabrication for timber-beam attachment, hydraulic calculations per NFPA 13 for irregular ceiling geometry, full permit package handled by FireGuard. Passed inspection on first attempt.
